Setting up pwrdemo44 (4.4.4-5) ...
Here in postinst...
Change owner of files to pwrp
Setting base /usr/pwr44
wb_cmd: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing pwrdemo44 (--install):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
Errors were encountered while processing:

The pwr44 installed fine, system is Ubuntu 7.10
Using the Debian installation guide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello !

There are some dependencies for this package. Berkeley DB must be installed. You should therefore at first install libdb4.3.

It also depends on libgtk2 and libasound2 but i'm quite sure you have these. They are pretty standard.

Godd luck !

Acually, it's the libdb4.4++ package that has to be installed. This dependency is missing in pwr44.

Thanks Guys
I am up and running after a few other problems.
Just a note for others trying:

xhosts local:root

is needed with Ubuntu NOT xhost +
