Im new to proview but not new to process control software
First i would like to say im very impressed with proview

I installed Proview 5.5.0.1 on a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 install

The run time environment crashes when I right click on a tag from the xtt navigator and try to look at the history.

The crash report is attached, it's large so I hope it goes through

The install history:
1. I installed Proview 5.5.0.1 from the deb files, no problem
2. I installed mysql-server no problem
3. I added MODBUS tags and got the tags to store inside the MySql database, no problem
I can view the tag history inside the MySql database manually, so i know they are being stored.

Maybe there is an installed library conflict?

What OS distribution is being used for Proview 5.5 development?

I want to install the new version of Proview on the same OS distribution that the development and testing was completed on.

I installed Debian 8 and the problem seems to have gone away. The Historian works fine.

Hi Barnes,
Just for information...

I tested this following configurations:
> Linux Mint 17 + Proview 5.4 (dev environment and runtime, com Modbus TCP/IP and OPC) + MySql5 + Apache2 = no problem, work fine
> Linux Mint 18 + Proview 5.5 (dev environment, com Modbus TCP/IP) + MySql5 = no problem, work fine
