Running for several days at a time - then a sudden closure of the Operator Environment with a console error of
(rt_xtt:14339): Pango-CRITICAL **: 15:31:52.305: pango_layout_set_text: assertion 'length == 0 || text != NULL' failed

I THINK what is happening is that strings that dynamically change are in process of being updated in the PLC when rt_xtt is trying to update the Graph that contains them.

Do you think this is what is happening? if so, how do I avoid the condition?

Version 5.7.0-1 - is this the memory leak issue spoken of?

Yes, I'm quite sure it is. You have to upgrade to 5.7.1 to get rid of this.
