I trying for hours now, to get Pwr58_5.8.0-2_arm.hf working on a Raspberry Pi 4 B.

Some dependencies I added before dpkg -i.

xterm
xfonts-100dpi
libdb5.3++

Then there is no Error about missing packages etc. The last lines before the error are:
Here in postinst. . .
-- group pwrp added
-- user pwrp added
(here the problem)
cp: the call of stat for "/usr/pwr58/os_linux/hw_arm/exp/cnf/user/.bashrc" isnt possible. File or folder not found.

Everything else of the dpkg -i install log looks normal.

Do I need a special version od rpios?

Hi,

The package use to work despite the error message.

If you need the autostart of ProviewR at boot though you need to add the line

source /etc/pwrp_profile

in the .bashrc file.

I had the same fault when I followed the guide on installation on Raspberry pi with PiOS.
But I had a different outcome. The pwrp user was created, but when i tried to login to the GUI the screen just turned black for some seconds and i was back at the login screen.
I am able to login as pwrp user via ssh...
BONUS INFO : I just tried to install the runtime only on my pi, and here i do not have any problem with logging in as pwrp.

I have exactly the same problem. The errors im getting are the ones from my first post.

I just tried with the latest version of Raspberry OS and Proview 5.9.0.1 and here the installation instruction works fine, and so far it looks like its running fine...
