I've downloaded the sources and and tried to run both the build.sh script and make but get the same error:

Any idea why? I guess that some database file wasn't created during the build.
I also see that Qt cannot be detected even though I have qt5.
There are a lot of no's in the build.log but one thing at a time.

This is what I use to install on debian. Not everything is needed, but at least you seems to be missing gstreamer and rsvg.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I have a lot more to do before I can build it on Slackware.
I have gstreamer installed but it's in /usr/include/gstreamer/gst so I had to create a soft link in /usr/include with the name gst that points to the above mentioned path.
I also did a find/sed to replace all /usr/lib with /usr/lib64. But there's much more to do before I can get it working.
I probably could use the .deb files directly and make a Slackware package from them but I would like to build it from scratch to get an understanding of the components and the build process.

If you look in src/tools/pwre/src/pwre_configure.sh there are searchpaths for archives and includefiles.

So, the file that creates the dbs.file is src/tools/com/src/generate_rtload.sh. The following code should do it:

pwre module

wb_cmd -q -i create snapshot /rtonly /file=\"$pwre_sroot/wbl/pwrs/src/\"/out=\"$target\"

But an echo in this script shows that it's never called. But maybe echo is disabled.

The error happens in makefile in make[1]: Entering directory '/root/pwrsrc_6.0.0-1/src/wbl/pwrs/src'.

Question is why this script is never called to create the dbs file.

generate_rtload.sh is a script to generate minimized dbs-files and is seldom used. Normally pwrs.dbs is generated by the rule for $(load_dir)/pwrs.dbs in src/wbl/pwrs/src/makefile.
