Hi All,

I have been trying to install a runtime package onto a runtime system. I have set up the runtime environment, and logged in as pwrp. On the development environment I have created a distribution package and copied this to the /home/pwrp folder on the runtime system. I have used the command:

pwr_pkg.sh -i pwrp_pkg_process01_0009.tgz

The command starts to install but then asks for a sudo password. The problem is that pwrp does not have sudo privileges on the system. I have got the runtime package installed on crunchbang linux 10 (which is still in alpha but works great) based on debian, and the pwrrt 4.7.0.2 installed just fine. Is there anything I am doing wrong here, if so can you please help point me in the right direction.

I also tried the auto distribute but when trying it could not find the station through the ssh command, which is a seperate issue, and if you have any infomration on this that will help will be great.

Thanks in advance for your help

Dan

Hi Dan,

You have to add the user pwrp to the sudoer list. You edit the sudoers file (/etc/sudoers) with the visudoer command.

To copy and unpack the package with the distributor, openssh-server has to be installed on the process station.
