Hi all,

Before this become a concrete project, I will post my idea here first:
Hardware: Mini PC, like Fox G20 or other low price mini SBC (Single Board Computer)
OS: customised Linux
Control Application Runtime: Proview.

That can really a lower price solution for a robotic arm.

Best Regards
Hongfu

Hi Hongfu,

Great to see projects popping up on the forum.
The school I am working for bought last year a robot arm from a Danish company named Universal Robots. It's running under Linux but no source available as far as I know.
They gave me a short presentation. Almost no noise, stop protecting at 40 Nm, as far as I can remember, and for none precision work it can reproduces \"movements by hand\".

Here is another a one: www.neuronics.ch/cms_de/web/index.php?id...ardware_architecture
The most expensive part is the arm, not even in my wildest dreams I will \"take the glove\" and try to beat this one

Keep on good thinking and thanks for your compliments about the educational kit.

Regards,

/Marc

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, the arm part will be a problem. I will try to find a solution. Once I have an concrete plan, I will implement this idea as a real project.

The information of Neuronics is really interesting! Thanks a lot! I am waiting for your Arduino Video.
