Hello

Not by Profibus, but anyway.
I have a test system based on Proview 4.5 which communicates with a S7-300 using a custom driver based on 'libnodave'. It uses ethernet and native S7-communication to poll data from the PLC. On the PLC side we use standard ethernet module (the Lean model).
I hope to upgrade to Proview 4.6 soon and also go into production mode.
Libnodave is also GPL/LGPL licensed and I have no objections to share my code either.

Regards / Jyrki

I was looking for a kind of scada software to supervise a Siemens PLC.
This custom driver sounds as music in my ears.
So, if You are willing to share this driver with us, I would be very grateful.

Kind regards,

Frans.

I'm also very interested on Proview and libnodave. Maybe software developer integrate libnodave on proview?
In northern europe the simatic S7 controlling about 60% of automation.
I think it be in demand on this HMI system.

Hi Mikko,

I've had a look at libnodave and it seems like a nice and simple interface. It would be quite easy to integrate it as an IO system in Proview. The problem is that we don't have any Siemens PLC to test it with (and no experience of Siemens PLC either). So I think we would need to cooperate with someone that can do the testing, run the gdb debugger and make the final adjustments in the code.

But no software... yet.

If there is something I can do let me know.....
