Hi all,

Usually I'm storing my process data onto an external sev_server node but I would like for a specific case to store my node data on the same node which will run the mySQL server.

My node need consequently to be a runtime node and a sev server node at the same time.
I think this is possible (please confirm) but I don't know how to configure this in the directory volume.

Usually in my runtime node, I declare a DsHistMonitor object and in the directory volume under my node I had a SevNodeConfig which target to the sev server node and IP address.
If I want to configure all in the same node I don't know how to configure this (make the sevNodeConfig point to my self ? in this case, proview complained because two nodes are pointing to the same volume) or do I need to declare two separate nodes which have simply the same bootnode and IP address ?

I'm a bit lost and can't succeed currently to access Hist curves so your help would be highly appreciable

Thanks in advance to explain the main attribute I need to setup in the following objects:
SevNodeconfig (in directory volume)
SevServer (in my data node)
DsHistMonitor (in my data node)

Do I forgot anything else ?

Thank you
Snarf

Hi Snarf,

In this case you don't need any SevNodeConfig. Just add a SevServer object in the root volume.

Hi Claes,

Hope you're doing well since last we talked.
Thanks for your feedback, I will try with your proposed settings and revert as soon as tested.

Bye

Hi Claes,
we just tried the proposed configuration without any sevNodeConfig and SevServer directly in the RootVolume with the attached configuration.
At the moment, we are still unable to connect to sev ser server and even if the status is sev init done, we have a log saying that sev server has exited.
What could cause this ? Is it a bad configuration somewhere ?
We tried with both SevHistObject and SevHist as in the provided example with same result.

Thanks for your help

I can't see my attachment even if I got no error during insertion.
Can you access the file ?

Hi Snarf,

Common problems are that the mysql server is not running, or the user 'pwrp' is not added in mysql.
