Hi Claes,
I know that Modbus RTU protocol is supported by Proview but while reading the I/O guide, I haven't found anything about Modbus RTU (Only about Modbus TCP). So, is there any documentation about the use of the RTU variant of the Modbus protocol with Proview? Or at least how similar is it when comparing it to the use of Modbus TCP (Master, slave, module, addressing... etc) on Proview?
Any help greatly appreciated.

/Maverick

Hi Maverick,

The message structure is identical for Modbus TCP and RTU, and the configuration is also almost identical. The difference is that you should use configuration objects named RTU, configure the serial device in the master object and address the slaves with unit id instead of IP address.
