Dear Claes,

Thank you so much for the amount of work you have put into ProiewR for OpenSUSE Version No. 1.

We have a winner and installation on OpenSUSE Leap 15.2 went very smooth. :) :)

I will put some detail documentation later for OpenSUSE users later (2021), but here is how awesome ProviewR v.1.0 installed on Opensuse:

1. I decided to dedicate one computer with a clean install of OpenSUSE Leap 15.2 for ProviewR version 1.0.

This new hardware has one modification from the original Computer, I replaced the hard drive with a SSD hard drive of 1TGB, and it runs super fast, this, considering the age of the motherboard (2004).

2. Downloaded all required packages:
zypper -n install gtk2 alsa gcc-c++ libdb-4_8 libsqlite3-0 libtirpc3 xterm libmariadb3 libusb-1_0-0 libhdf5-103-openmpi2 java-11-openjdk xterm xorg-x11-fonts sudo procps python3-devel python3 tar gzip glibc-locale-base

3. Verified installation of all packages:

4. Installed ProviewR Version One:

5. Installed Demo

6. Proview Installed!!

7. Minor detail, warning by console

8. User PWRP on user list

9. Runtine Monitor :

I will work on a detail document on installation of ProviewR for OpensSUSE.

Please let me know about the ProviewR Server so I can test it on my end too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!!

Thank a lot,

Felipe

Dear Claes,

Please find

File Attachment:

File Name: Proview_OpenSuse_Installation_Guide_1_opt_light.pdf
File Size: 746 KB

attached first draft of installation Guide Proview Powered by openSUSE Leap 15.2.

The installation guide is subject to changes as I did it using some images and icons from Proview website.

I am not sure if I am allowed to use some of them, please let me know if I need to modified and delete/replace by something different.

I have use the "temp" for the downloading of the files, I am not sure If you want to upgrade the location to more suitable location and posted on Proview website. I will update the installation guide if that is the case.

Look forward to continue to working with you.

Regards,

Felipe

Claes,

We had several power outage in Texas and our machines were on.

After the restart and lunch of proview again we have the following error. Please see screenshot.

Is there a quick fix to the issue or we have install proview again?

Felipe,

You can look at the directory for the missing files and see if you find any similar files. I suspect that the host name is changed and in that case you have to enter the directory volume of the pwrdemo57 project, change NodeName in the NodeConfig object and rebuild the node.

Dear Claes,

I followed your instructions, the /usr/pwrp/pwrdemo57/bld/common/load had similar files as the one that were missing.

I made a copy of them with the names as the missing files. Then I started the Runtime Monitor again and everything worked again.

Thanks for your help and advise.
