Hi Edouardo,
Are you receiving the "Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0" mesage after the rt_xtt crash?

where did you get the Fatal IO error 11 so I can check myself.
Have you been able to replace Xorg by Xfree86?

Not tried yet. How do you do that ?
Which graphic card has your OPStation?

No graphic card, only intel chipset on the motherboard.
Are you using dual monitor in your OPStation?

No I've only a single display, connected to VGA

Hi,

I managed to reproduce the IO error on my home pc when running the intermedio graph with a scantime of 10 ms, although the effective scantime didn't seem to be more than 100-200 ms. When I got the IO error after 2-3 hours I noticed it was when drawing lines and arcs that where part of connections but actually not inside the current clip. So I optimized the connection drawing and this had a large impact on the performance. The scanning of the intermedio graph is much faster now, and is has been running for 16 hours without exception. Note that I haven't fixed any bug so it is possible that exception is just delayed, but it looks promising...

Here is the patch

http://www.proview.se/v1/files/tmp/pwr50_5.0.0_patch01_ubuntu12.04LTS.tar.gz

Unpack and copy rt_xtt_gtk to $pwr_exe.

Hi Claes,

After I tried the graph I "knew" about it's strange behavior.

I realy want to know how you found this bug.

- Did you clean-up the graph until the scan time fitted and found in this way the problems with lines and arcs?
- In which file did you optimize the connection drawing?
- Is this a general bug for all releases?
- what do you mean with "part of connections but actually not inside the current clip"

And last but not least how are graphs related/compatible to updates?

Thanks a lot for feedback.

Hi Snarf77

where did you get the Fatal IO error 11 so I can check myself.

If you start rt_xtt Nodes-OPProjectname-OP from the terminal, after the rt_xtt crach you can see the message "Fatal IO..." in the terminal.
