Hi Giulio,

Enter edit mode, open 'File/Volume Attributes...' from the menu, and set OperatingSystem to 'Linux on x86'.

Hi,

The only way to get the GSX-F-NOOPSYS error is that there is an invalid operating system in the volume object.
Are you sure your are building the correct volume (the Root volume, not the Directory volume) ?
Do you get the same result if you build a PlcPgm separately (from File/Build the plc editor) ?

Hi

let me explain with some additional detail what i do:

after having created a project and a volume, i configure it in the same way of the \"pwrdemo44\" project.
But if now i try to build the node from the navigator (i don't know if it is possible to do it now) I get an error in the workbench window that says:
E ..... Loadfilefor volume volmydemo not created.
I tried to build the minimum because if I continued up to \"Setting up plant and node hierarchies in the Volume Navigator\", when i am asked to compile the project and create aload file and a boot file, i get the GSX-F-NOOPSYS error.

Anyway, I tried to build the pwrdemo44 demo project and it seems OK.

Thanks in advance,
Giulio

Hi,

There are two volume involved here, which might make it a bit confusing.

The first is the Directory volume, which is a description of the nodes and volumes in the project. This volume can't be built (althogh you can build nodes from it, but the volumes of this nodes has to be built first). As i understand you have configured the volume volmydemo with a RootVolumeConfig object here.

The second volume is the RootVolume 'volmydemo', which can be opened with 'Open Volume' from the RootVolumeConfig object. Here you edit the Plant and Node hierarchy, and this is the volume you should build. But first you have to enter the OperatingSystem in VolumeAttributes for this volume, otherwise you get the NOOPSYS error. A minimal system at least has to contatin a node hierarchy with a $NodeHier and a $Node object, and I think its not until you create a PlcPgm that you have to state the OperatingSystem.
