I Have decided that I want to translate the English Language to Danish language of proview.

But I think I need some guide lines on how to do this and of course I will give this translation to Proview to include in a future release

If you look in $pwr_exe/en_us you'll find the files xtt_lng.dat, license.txt, and acceptlicense.txt. Create the directory $pwr_exe/da_dk and the put corresponding translated files in this directory. This will translate all texts in menues, object graphs and standard alarmtext in the operator environment.

Check out the translation by starting rt_xtt with the option -l da_dk

>rt_xtt -l da_dk

If you also want to translate Operator's Guide, place a translated version of $pwr_exe/en_us/man_opg.dat on $pwr_exe/da_dk. This translation you can check with co_help

>co_help -s $pwr_exe/da_dk/man_opg.dat

What encoding is supported to the language. im thinking of the danish Æ Ø Å (a&e) (O&slash) (A&dot)

The default is ISO8859-1 which should work for the danish translation. Also UTF-8 is supported but this requires special tags (see the chinese translation files).
